SharePoint Blogs - Content Approval default setting on "Posts" list

Tuesday, April 10, 2012 2:48 PMIs there any way to have the default setting for Content Approval on the "Posts" list be set to No instead of Yes? We do not want users to have to change this setting on an individual basis.

You can staple a custom feature to the blog template, that will on blog creation set the Content Approval on Posts to No.
If you are looking to perform this on existing sites, you can do it via Powershell by iterating your blog sites.
Hope this helps.Rahul Gupta, MCPD - SharePoint 2010

How about changing the Content Approval setting under List Settings>Versioning Settings to 'No'?

Bryce is Correct. If you navigate to the "manage posts" list--> under lists settings --> go to version settings --> and set the content approval to no. Much easier than using powershell to perform the action.
Thanks Bryce!
