SharePoint 2010 Site from Template Error

Tuesday, March 02, 2010 10:27 AMI have a Site Collection where I created a new publishing subsite and saved it as a site template.
It is active and listed on the new site dialog.
When I go to Site Actions, New Site and select my custom template, after a few seconds I get:
Error
Value cannot be null.
I've also tried criating an empty site with powershell and apply and template later, but it simply messes up the site, making it unavailable.
Any help?

Looks like it throws this error on publishing sites with workflows (value cannot be null).
Publishing (without worflows) throws and error after site creation, when opening site (404 error).
just saved a blank site as template and created a new site from it no problem.
