    We deleted the out of the box "Posts" web-part from the default page of a Blog sub-site (the one with the calendar icon next to each post); is it possible to re-add?

    (When adding the Posts list, it's just that a normal list webpart.)

    Hi

    the easiest way

    try to recover the page from history versions

    For this, you can use SHP Designer, connect to your site, select you page right click mouse and check for a previous version for your page

    D'oh.  Looks like the answer is to add the Posts list as above and use the "Summary" view.
