  I am working with SharePoint MOSS 2007
  
  I am looking for a stock quotes web part.

  -         stock quotes that keep scrolling
  -         customizable for each user
  -         user is allowed to enter a maximum of 10 stocks
  -         the stock quote should keep updating say every 30 seconds
  -         The data source should be customizable. We have our own data that is used at other locations, we would like to use the same data

  Well, yea, but those requirements are a little bit too specific. I saw there is one stock web part on codeplex, see if you can modify it according to your needs (if license allows).
