Just migrating SBS 2003 to SBS 2008 and recieve the following error:

Cannot create the Active Directory structure required to create users, groups, and computer accounts for Windows Small Business Server 2008.

When I choose to fix error I get another error saying "The required active directory structure was no completed"

Followed by "A remote desktop file, which will allow a user to remotley access the server through terminal service was unable to be created".

Any help resolving this issue would be apriciated.

    Regards

    Richard

    Hello Richard,

better use the SBS NG for this:
    https://connect.microsoft.com/sbs08/community/discussion/richui/default.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0

    or

    microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

There you will find the real SBS experts.

    Hi,

As Meinolf explained, the SBS Newsgroup is the best resource for this kind of issue. We will provide some suggestions from the Active Directory side.

Did you run "adprep" before migrating? Make sure you have run " adprep /forestprep" and " adprep /domainprep". For more information, please refer to the following article.

    Adprep

    Thanks.
