Symptoms

Unable to perform the backup operation.

Cause

Unable to communicate to Windows Azure Online Backup.

Resolution

The backup agent is not able to communicate to the cloud service. Make sure your internet connection is working and that proxy settings are correctly configured. For more information about configuring proxy settings see, Manage Windows Azure Online Backup  - Configure Server Properties.
