Release schedule

Update Rollup 10 for on-premises CRM servers and CRM Outlook clients was released on August 16th, 2012. 

Update Rollup 10 contains all the hotfixes that were originally scheduled to be released with Update Rollup 9, which has since been cancelled due to the changes in the release schedule for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Q2 2012 Update functionality.

Due to several issues experienced by users who deployed the initial Update Rollup 10 (build number 5.0.9690.2730), Microsoft re-released Update Rollup 10 on October 4th, 2012. The new version (build number 5.0.9690.2740) replaced the original UR10 files on Microsoft Download Center. Read the post regarding the re-release on the Dynamics CRM in the Field blog.

The planned release date of October 8th for CRM Online customers was cancelled due to re-releases. Also UR10 was never released to Microsoft Update, instead UR11 was published on October 23rd, 2012.

  • Many performance and stability-related fixes, including in total 30 hotfixes related to the CRM Client for Microsoft Outlook

Potential issues

The following problems have been reported by CRM users who have installed Update Rollup 10. They have not necessarily been confirmed by Microsoft to be caused by UR10, nor is there official information on when a possible fix would be released. Please update the list based on the latest information you have available on any issue listed and add new issues if you have a strong reason to believe that the problem has occurred due to the installation of Update Rollup 10.
  • After exporting campaignresponses with Customer Field to Excel (static export for reimport) Customer is empty
The re-released version of Update Rollup 10 contains fixes to the following new bugs introduced by the original release:
  • Missing LocalizedLabel record for new SavedQuery
  • JavaScript editor limited to 2000 characters
  • CRM Outlook crash when configured to use SQL CE 4.0
  • DialogArguments reference in Outlook Client Modal Dialog Causes Memory Leak
  • Two entries inserted into ActivityPointerBase when reply to a tracked email
  • Unable to add a sales literature to Custom entities
  • SQL timeout on Security roles when importing Managed Customer Solution
  • After installing Update Rollup 10 Client, Outlook users may experience error "An error has occurred."
