  • Why DomainMode = 2003?

  • Harper49, in order to promote a Windows Server 2012 computer to a DC, the Forest Functional Level (FFL) must be at least Windows Server 2003, which means that each domain must be at least Domain Functional Level (DFL) Windows Server 2003. The DFL cannot be Windows Server 2012 until all domain controllers are Windows Server 2012.
