This Script can be used to find Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 build numbers in your environment. - Added by Bhargav Shukla - MSFT
Kudos to Bhargav on the above script - I use this to get all my build numbers and rollups and can definately recommend it. It should be in the Scripts directory by default!
The fast way to check for the version of the installed rollup is to look at exsetup.exe/exsetup.com file version on the server.
FYI the link for Update Rollup 2 for Exchange Server 2010 SP1 is pointing to the wrong KB article.
Daniel, thanks, fixed!
This method doesn't work with Rollup4 for Exchange2007 SP3 - build 83.6 is shown instead of 192.1
run get-exchangeserver|fl admindisplayversion to get the Build numbers OR get-exchangeserver ( To get exchange server info, roles, SP, build no)
Irfan-Ali-MS, noup!, admindisplayversion in get-exchangeserver always returns major version like RTM or SP1
For RTM admindisplayversion always returns 14.0.639.21 and for SP1 14.1.218.15
For geting Update Rollup build number you can use this script
postmaster.ge/.../Getting-Exchange-Server-Update-Rollups.aspx
Output looks like this (works on all Excahnge 2010 version, incliuding Hosting mode)
[PS] M:\> .\get-E14UpdateRollup.ps1
