Script to Create All Foreign Keys

Script to Create All Foreign Keys

I wrote a script to generate create or drop statements for all foreign keys in a SQL Server database. It was originally published on my blog in 2009, but this is a better place to post it. The community has the ability to correct or enhance the script here. PowerShell can accomplish the same thing as this script more easily. See http://sqlblog.com/blogs/john_paul_cook/archive/2009/09/20/using-powershell-to-script-foreign-key-creation-statements.aspx for more information.

To generate drop statements, uncomment the statement that sets @action to DROP and comment out the statement that sets @action to CREATE.

In order to handle the case when referenced table is in a different schema, i modified it a bit (added @referenced_schema_name variable):

DECLARE @table_name sysname;
