Forefront Identity Manager 2010 and Forefront Identity Manager 2010 Certificate Management Test Labs, please feel free to share any information that would be helpful for others to know. Examples of useful information to add to this topic are the following:
On page 34 of Test Lab Guide: Managing User Identities with Forefront Identity Manager 2010, Step 5 of To set the attribute precedence on attributes, it lists employeeType. When you select employeeType and then select Configure Attribute Flow Precedence, there is only the FIM MA present.
Is there a step missing or is this a typo? I noticed that you are selecting those attributes with two import flows. employeeType only has one in the table. You however did not select firstName and lastName? Reason?
On page 39 of Test Lab Guide: Managing User Identities with Forefront Identity Manager 2010 item 26, On the Configure Provisioning Hierarchy page, click Next., is a duplication of item 16 on page 38. Item 26 should be removed.
If you're using GPOs (hardening) with FIM/FIMCM servers, you should first install them while they are still in the Computers -container in the Active Directory. When they're installed, export the Security settings with secpol.msc and import that to your Delta GPOs security settings, this way you get the product still working...
There should also be a lot more documentation about FIMCM, for example how to configure the software certificate request-issue workflows and templates and how to configure them with the plugins int the CA.
Smart card printting section should be added to the wiki, including the supported hardware (and hardware configurations!).
