SQL Server 2012 Developer Training Kit Virtual Machine
Important:

We develop and test all of the demos and hands-on labs included in the
SQL Server 2012 Developer Training Kit Content
on a couple of different virtual machine configurations. It's not practical to make these virtual machines publicly available for download because of size, complexity, licensing and time bomb issues. Instead, we provide guidance on how to build your own version of these virtual machines on the following wikis.
KIWI:
This is a single-VM configuration useful for experimenting with new database engine, developer and BI functionality in SQL Server 2012. You can upload KIWI to Windows Azure Virtual Machine if you need a place to host it. See
How to Build a SQL Server 2012 Hyper-V Virtual Machine (KIWI build)
.
EMU:
This is a multi-VM config useful for experimenting with SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn Availability Groups and Failover Clustering. See [[How to Build SQL Server 2012 (RC0) AlwaysOn Hyper-V Virtual Machines for Demos (EMU build)|How to Build SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn Hyper-V Virtual Machines for Demos (EMU build)]]. Check out
Getting Started Running SQL Server in Windows Azure Virtual Machine
for information on what AlwaysOn Features are currently supported before attempting to use EMU in Windows Azure Virtual Machine.
KIWI + EMU
: This is a combo of both KIWI and EMU for adventurous souls who want to be able to run every single demo and hands on lab in the training kit on a single environment. See
How to Build a Combined Set of KIWI and EMU VMs
for more information. Check out
Getting Started Running SQL Server in Windows Azure Virtual Machine
for information on what AlwaysOn Features are currently supported before attempting to use EMU in Windows Azure Virtual Machine.
