What licensing is used if I have the multitenant? ent SAL? I'm installing and it specifies checking all the features. If we dont use pstn/voip, should I uncheck these options? I don't want to use the plus SAL if we dont have to since we dont use voip. How is licensing handled?

Hello,
I am evaluating this and I have the following question, how can I move an existing deployment inside the client to multitenant?
or at least, how can I synchronize the AD into multitenant? there is a FIM or like BPOS, a tool to do this?
thank you.
Hans A.
Hi Josh,
I am a technical writer on the Lync team at Microsoft. Thanks for your question.
The response I got from the product team is that the licensing is SPLA, and you can uncheck the features that you are not interested in using.
I hope that answers your question. Please let me know if it does not. And please let us know of any feedback you have on the Lync Server Multitenant Pack for Hosting Partners.
Regards,
Randall
Hi Hans,
Thanks for your question. I am sorry that I am not replying directly to your post, but I am not seeing any Reply links.
The answer I received from the product team is that you can deploy the Lync Server Multitenant Pack for Partner Hosting side by side, and then use DirSync and AD FS to synchronize AD.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.
