Download of an Office 365 update stuck at 50% RRS feed

  • Question

  • We deployed an update (monthly and semi-annual channel) for our O365 ProPlus users but some are stuck at 50% and it ends with a failed so my guess is a timeout. After a lots of reading logs I found out that the agent is looking for a file based on a language apparently that doesn't exist on the DP.

DTS job {A69D47D3-CB1D-4E68-8A10-C1E0D3D62CC2} BITS job {AC49219C-E8FE-4C88-85CB-95DFACDC2DBB} failed to download source file http://sccm01SVR.localprod.com:80/SMS_DP_SMSPKG$/3b002200-f029-4bbc-b276-7a193c5f256d/Office/Data/16.0.11629.20246/i641043.cab to destination C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\OfficeC2RABA2A872-1C3C-43C1-A0A2-40F4BA7E3766\i641043.cab with error 0x80190194

So it searches for a i641043.cab file where on the dp only these files exists:

    i320.cab
    i321033.cab
    i640.cab
    i641033.cab
    s320.cab
    s321033.cab
    sp3321033.cab

1043 is the french language but on what key is this checkup based? The regional settings of Windows are en-GB with a Belgian keyboard layout. I already downloaded the french update files but I want to know what it's based on

  • sounds like it could be trying to pull down an incomplete downloaded update. do the wsus logs show if the update had downloaded correctly, or ruleengine.log if using an adr rule to get them?

  • Yes indeed, thank you for your input but I already found the log telling me it was looking for another cab file that doesn't exist. So I downloaded the languages and all was good
