Using udpipe in Microsoft Machine Learning Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello! I need to build a text analytics pipeline using our SQL Server infrastructure. I am coding in R.

For this, I need udpipe (https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/udpipe/index.html) for natural language processing tasks, specifically POS tagging.

We have udpipe-library installed so I can access it just fine. The trick however is that udpipe requires a language model in a separate file to be used. Since our Server does not have internet access, I am unable to use the udpipe_download_model-function.

I tried to serialize the R object containing the language model and insert it to an SQL table. The insert went succesfully but the file now is so huge I am currently unable to even drop the resulting table!

Do you have any hints on how to deploy udpipe language models properly to be used in R scripts within SQL Server? Any help is much appreciated!
