Update Roll Up 7 on service manager 2012 RRS feed

  • I installed the Update on the System Center Service Manager components in the order Primary Management server and then Data warehouse server. I restarted the Primary management server, the service manager console stopped working with problem as appcrash.

    How can I resolve the issue?

    Please check log C:\Users\administrator.ITISTOLAB\AppData\Local\Temp\\SCSM2012R2_CU_KB3129780_AMD64_7.5.3079.607.msp.1.log  for more details.

    I would like to suggest you look into event logs to check is there any errors or warnings.

    in the KB article for every UR you can find the installation guide. According to it the update installation order should look like this:

    "Make sure that the update is installed on the System Center Service Manager components in the following order:

    1. Data Warehouse server
    2. Primary Management server
    3. Secondary Management servers
    4. All analyst consoles
    5. Self-Service Portal"

    This comes from:

    Update Rollup 7 for System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager

    This will require a bit of troubleshooting:

    - Have you installed the Update for the console also?
    - Do you have other consoles? Are they also crashing?
    - When the console crashes, it produces an exception message or spits an error of some kind. What error does the console show?
    - Please check also the "Operations Manager" event log. What is the associated event there?

    -  Yes, In primary management server installed updates KB3099983 and KB3063263

    -  I don't have other consoles.

    -  AppCrash exception code : e0434f4d

    As the update should be installed on Data Warehouse server and then Primary Management server, but you are

    installing it in Primary Management server and then Data warehouse server.

    Please try to install the SCSM 2012 R2 UR9 to solve the issues arising due to UR7 updates installing in the wrong order.
