Can you have a runbook cycle through standby units RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a runbook that launches an application in the background and processes some work.

This application can only have one instance running on the server.

We have 5 runbook servers (1 Primary and 4 standby).

What I'm wondering; is there a way to force the Runbook to use different runbook servers (cycle through the standby ones) to execute the work?

  • Hi,

if a Runbook should be exceuted more than once at a time, you must increase the maximum number of simultaneous jobs in the properties of the Runbook:

You can specify a Runbook Server there as well. But in the most times is it better to specify the Runbook Server with the "Invoke Runbook" Activity from another Runbook.
