Renew EXCH certificate on other CA RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

soon I'll have to renew my exchange server ssl certificate. I bouht it 3 years ago from one company.

Can I renew this certificate with another company? Can I go with renew certificate process, or i have to go to new cert request.

I am not able to use first company any more. That is the only thing that is changing.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

There is no issue doing this. You will need to generate a new CSR, provide this to your new 3rd party CA, and then complete the request. If your not familiar with this, please see the link below and feel free to post any questions.

  • That is a new request (just to be clear), but that will work fine providing that you follow all the steps from the CA where you purchase the certificate from. They all vary, so I can't list them here, plus they change all the time!

  • Hi,

    thanks for your answer.

Please just clarify me something. Should I go with renew existing certificate, and send that request to new CA, or i need to go for new cert request?
