Skip records with Functoids RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi. I'm trying to construct a BizTalk map that only maps over records that starts with a special character and skip the others.
Is this possible to do with functiods, and if so how?

  • It sounds possible.  But you need to give some concrete examples of what you are trying to map for people to help you.  But usually it would be a matter of having some functoid return true or false and mapping that to the output node you want.

  • You have to make use of scripting functoid to make that decision within a map. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/biztalk/core/scripting-functoid

  • it's possible, See below example  example where i am mapping only nodes where node value greater than certain value.

    1) Take scripting functiod or use Equal operator to return true or false for  special character

    2) Connect true or false result coming from scripting funciod or Equal operator  to your repeating record node on destination. This will map only results with True values.
