Rename of SCOM Server supported or not RRS feed

  • hello,

    I just upgraded scom 2016 to SCOM 2019 But now i need to rename the scom server so wants to know.

    is rename of scom server (computer name) supported or not,if yes how ?

    Renaming a SCOM server or a server with any critical SCOM component is not supported.

    As Leon said, renaming server is not supported, not only for operations manager. Good planning is required before deploying, including nave convention.
