Migrate send port groups, send ports, receive port, receive location, policies and schemas to BizTalk 2106 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello All Experts,

I am working on a BizTalk migration project from BizTalk 2013 to BizTalk 2016. I need to know how do I migrate/export existing send port groups, send ports, receive port, receive location, policies and schemas of BizTalk 2013 to BizTalk 2106. Is there any way to migrate them or I need to manually create them in BizTalk 2016.

  • You can export all Ports and Locations in Binding files, and import the binding files directly in 2016 again

Schemas etc. CAN be exported in .MSI files and imported again, but I would recommend rebuilding your BizTalk Projects (.DLL's) in Visual Studio 2015 before deploying them to your 2016 environment.

  • Thanks for the reply Morten la Cour. I had successfully rebuild all my BizTalk projects (.DLL's) in Visual Studio 2015. I don't know how to proceed further. I have exported  all Ports and Locations in Binding files from BizTalk 2013 server and will  be importing them now on BizTalk 2016 server.
