Windows 8 and WIndows 8.1 - Cannot download updates - get error 80244FFFF RRS feed

    Hi,

    ISSUE: Windows 8 AND WIndows 8.1RTM - Cannot download updates - get error 80244FFFF

    I have tried running the fix it, doing a clean boot and turning off all non Microsoft software, tried updating over wireless instead of wired, etc.  Nothing I do will allow updates to come thru.  get error 80244FFFF.

    System is AMD with Samsung SSD.  I upgraded from WIndows 8 to 8.1RTM. the problem existed on WIndows 8, but sometimes updates would come thru. Any suggestions for correction would be most appreciated.

    Hi,

    In addition to Andre.Ziegler mentioned, let’s temporarily disable Windows firewall and Windows Defender and check if that helps.

    If we cannot get this issue fixed, please run System file checker to repair system files.

    Please open command prompt by right-clicking the CMD and choosing Run as administrator. Type following command line:

    SFC /SCANNOW
