Need to find what account installed SCCM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Auto client upgrade is greyed out and apparently the account used for installing sccm needs to be utilized to repair it.

Does anyone know of a method to discover this such as a reg key ect.......?

  • I have no ConfigMgr next to me right now, but you could have a look at C:\ConfigMgrSetup.log and/or the members of the local SMS admins group.

  • The account that installs ConfigMgr is assigned the 'SMS00ALL' CategoryID because they are the first person to install it. You can run the following SQL Query against your respective CM database to find this out:

    SELECT * FROM CM_PR1.dbo.v_Permissions
    WHERE CategoryID = 'SMS00ALL'

The 'LogonName' is the installation account.

You can omit the WHERE line if you want to see who all has permissions to your CM environment.

  • I know this is an old post but is there an updated version of the query below for config manager current branch?

    SELECT * FROM CM_PR1.dbo.v_Permissions
    WHERE CategoryID = 'SMS00ALL'

  • The query still works in Current Branch, but PR1 must be replaced with your specific site code.

  • Found it in case anybody else is looking

    SELECT * FROM dbo.vRBAC_Permissions WHERE CategoryID = 'SMS00ALL'

the first name in the list is account that installed sccm.
