  • Is there a way to determine which columns in MS Project actually have data in them (when they are hidden)

    If the columns are not actually displayed, the only way to determine if any tasks have data in these columns would be to create your own custom filters to filter the data in these columns.  Hope this helps.

    Or you could run a VBA routine to check all fields and report which have data. But keep in mind that Project has tons of fields, even more if you are in a Project Server environment.

  • Or you can make a custom table which contains the columns/fields that you are interested in. I have a table for all custom text fields, and another for all custom number fields, and so on.
