.Net SqlClient Data Provider for SQL Server causing 100% CPU usage on DB Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

Total SQL noob here. Not sure if this is the right forum, but the connector from our web servers is causing the DB server to use 100% CPU usage. I'm unable to find any information on this program except how to download so I was going to attempt to update it. I was able to pull the reports for top CPU usage which showed me which server and the program name (in the title) and I'm not sure where to go from here. Right now, our only resolution seems to be rebooting the web server (we have 2) causing the issue. Have you guys seen this before?

    Thanks,

    D

It isn't, it's for .NET inside SQL Server = CLR integration.

Data provider don't cause high CPU usage, but the queries execution issued by the client(s) do. You have to analyze the queries of the app.
