Microsoft TouchPack for Windows7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I downloaded the Touchpack for Windows7 to my HP TouchSmart PC Model TX2-1025dx. When I try to install the touchpack applications, I receive two error messages. The first is "A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\ProgramData\Applications\Cache\VirtualEarth3D64.msi." The secord error is "Installation of the TouchPack for Windows7 did not mplete sucessfully."

Does anyone know why the installation failed? Is there a solution to this problem? The computer has Windows7 Ultimate installed and it is a 64 bit computer.

    Thank you.

  • I uninstalled the Bing 3D software from the computer and this resolved the first error message. The installation software now stops at the point where it is trying to install the XNA framework.

  • I had the same two issues. I went under Control Panel and uninstalled both Bing 3D Maps and Microsoft XNA Framework 3.0 and ran the installation. Installed successfully.
