Surface Pro 3 will not stay in sleep mode RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have several Surface Pro 3's which seem to turn themselves on from sleep mode (mine does it while in a backpack, conveniently) and run down the battery. They've essentially turned themselves into portable desktops instead of laptops since you can never count on the battery remaining charged.

Yes, all the latest firmware and updates have been installed.

Yes, I've disabled the keyboard/touchpad from being able to turn on the device via device manager.

What else do I need to do so that these SP3's actually retain their battery life?

Between this and other issues we've had with the SP3s (which are always supposed to be fixed with the next firmware update,) I'm about ready to turn mine in and go back to a traditional laptop that will at least have battery life left when I pull it out of my backpack.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.
