  • Hi trey trey.

If the problem affects only a specific update or a small set of updates, you could try installing each update on a one by one basis.
The first step to take is running the Windows Update Troubleshooter: you can find it at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/instantanswers/512a5183-ffab-40c5-8a68-021e32467565/windows-update-troubleshooter.
If this tool cannot fix the problem, run the System Update Readiness Tool (read Microsoft Knowledge Base article 947821 to know more about that) and run again Windows Update; if neither this tool solves your problem, reset the Windows Update components as per Microsoft Knowledge Base article 971058.
The final solution that you can apply if all the previous actions were unsuccessful is performing an in-place upgrade of the OS, i.e. re-installing Windows over itself (it will preserve all applications and data, since it will replace the operating system's files): read the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 2255099 to know how to do that.

    Bye.

  • Hi trey trey,

Firstly, we could try making sure your date timzone and clock are all correct and see if it makes a difference.

Then we could turn off Windows Firewall to check.

If the Windows Update Components is damage, we could try to reset. To do this, run the automated troubleshooter in KB 971058 or follow the instruction to manually rest the components:

Meanwhile you could run the System Update Readiness tool to check. The link below has an detailed information about troubleshoot Windows Update error.
