BizTalk Developer edition 2013 vs Enterprise Edition 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there any features difference or limit w.r.t clustering implementation between BizTalk Server 2013 Developer Edition and BizTalk Server 2013 Enterprise Edition?

    Scenario

I am planning to use BizTalk Dev Edition 2013 for test environment with clustering mode as Active-Active. My production environment will use Enterprise edition of BizTalk 2013 with same Active Active mode. For testing purpose, I just wanted to understand if there is clustering difference between these two editions of BizTalk.

  • Hello Lungaraj!

These two versions are just the same, there is no limitation in the developer edition do run a multiple setup. You can do as you are asking without a problem as long as no production data is going through the test environment.

The BizTalk developer edition gives you all the same as an enterprise license for BizTalk the main difference is that you are not allowed to use developer edition to process production data. Installation and configuration is the same.

If you have any more questions, please let me know.
