Nonstandard Keyboard Layouts /AppleMac keyboard RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I am using a Mac keyboard on my PC. In Win7 it is not possible to setup the correct AppleMay keyboard layout.
Only the standard english layouts work. In all Linux version this has been working so far -- however why not in Win7?

Beside that Win7 seems quiet nice.

    Greetings

  • I think it's because Apple and Microsoft are the main competitors in computers, and they do not want to support each other. Try contacting Microsoft or Apple directly and ask them for their advice

  • Well I think, a driver and keyboard map would make sense -- since it is implemented in all linux distros.

The key map is something they should implement! I do not agree that MS doing this due to competition -- even if this would be the case ---

the best way to succeed is to be more compatible than all the others ... and users will jump onto the train. :)

I hope this will be done in the near future!!!!

It had been done in XP 32 -- why not in any of the 64bit OS?? Pointless or not?

SO MS PLEASE implement a MAC KEYBOARD LAYOUT for the 64bit OS!!!

    Thank you!
