Autopilot SCCM Agent Deployment performance RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi, we are deploying the sccm agent during autopilot as an msi on a user group in Azure/Intune. I am not really satisfied with the installation time. We deploy the agent as stated here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/configmgr/comanage/tutorial-co-manage-new-devices#use-intune-to-deploy-the-configuration-manager-client

The MSI is done after a few minutes, but in total it takes about 20 Minutes until all setups, services and syncs are done and a user can start using the softwarecenter shop and the first packages arrive.

Is there some way to speed this up a little bit ? Will it be different if we use the LOB way as described here: https://www.imab.dk/deploy-the-sccm-client-using-microsoft-intune-and-the-cloud-management-gateway-no-pki-certificates/ ?

Another problem we are facing is that we also enroll Office during Autopilot as an Intune App on a user group. I think sometimes they both disrupt each other as both setups are done quite fast and continue as service/c2r installation. In the end the sccm agent isn't installed probably. I didn't have a closer look at this, did someone experienced the same issues?

    Best Regards,

    Marc
