  • error 141 seems to be video card related.
So did make any changes to the GPU?
Is your PSU powerful enough for a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

  • I've upgraded to new card from Gigabyte GTX980Ti G1 two weeks ago and this is 1st time thats happend.

My PSU is Cooler Master V850, i think its enough and my old 980Ti work well.

  • Hi,

Since you upgraded your video card recently, it's recommended to revert to older driver as some new drivers are somewhat buggy.

We could also check the hardware specification of your system to support Windows.

  • that was a VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED in nvlddmkm.sys, so again a problem with your Nvidia GPU.
As it runs with the previous card, I still believe this to be a hardware issue.
Here it was simply the power cable: BSOD - nvlddmkm.sys - Windows 10 x64

  • The logs did not display any BSOD.

There were kernel events displaying:  141, 193, and AB

At this time you can follow the kernel events over time and see whether they do or do not produce BSOD.

Consider troubleshooting other problems seen in the logs.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) wmic recoveros set autoreboot = false
    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    6) chkdsk /r /v

This may take hours to run so plan to run overnight.
Run on all drives using the syntax:  chkdsk /r /v C: or chkdsk /r /v D:  changing the drive letter to the applicable drive.

    C:\Windows\system32>chkdsk /r /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

    Type: Y
    reboot

    7) Use the information in this link to find the chkdsk report in the event viewer.  Copy and paste into notepad > save to desktop > post into the thread using one drive or drop box share link:
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10 Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials

    8) Run HD Tune (free version) (all drives)
    https://www.hdtune.com/
Post images into the thread for results on these tabs:
    a) Health
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

    9) Run Sea Tools for Windows
    long generic test
Post an image of the test result into the thread

    10) The BIOS:  Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. A.20, 13/11/2018

    Upgrade the BIOS:  A2  > A5

    https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MPG-Z390-GAMING-EDGE-AC

    11) In the left lower corner search type:  dxdiag > allow 10 minutes for it to fully load > save as text > post a share link into the thread

  • Thanks questionsformicrosoftproducts;

Im using new Samsung 970EVO SSD, when problems occured, Dota 2 (in SSD) is running, and i think, my windows isnt problem.

    10) Mainboard's BIOS also up to date already, before error. (A.50 version), temperature about 70*C.

It doesnt make any BSOD, just my screen show black in 10s (sound and my Dota 2 still working), after that, Dota 2 still running fine. I checked Reliability Monitor then copy WATCHGDOG file.

Here the result i've done step 5:

    Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.17763.529]
    (c) 2018 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan.  This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

    C:\Windows\system32>dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
    Version: 10.0.17763.1

    Image Version: 10.0.17763.529
