SQLite and Excel truncating decimals RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using ODBC to pull data from an SQLite view.  When I use MSQuery everything is fine, but when I use PowerQuery the numbers have their decimal values truncated.  Yes I can round the numbers first in my query, but I'd rather not have to do that.

I've tried changing the number type in PowerQuery but nothing is working so far.  What am I missing?!

  • Hi Den. This sounds like it could be a bug (but it might not be a bug in PQ). Can you post the M code you're executing? You can copy it from the Advanced Editor in the Power Query Editor.

  • Unfortunately, I deleted it and replaced it with the old ms query methodology, which still works fine.. However, there wasn't a whole lot going on.  basically select * from [table_name].  The number types were fine.  It just didn't want to work!  I have other identical queries in other workbooks that work perfectly.
