GPO Printer Install Fails for non Admin users with Build 1903 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a computer lab that was re-imaged with a fresh install of Windows 10-1903 prior to re-imaging all PC's were able to print to a shared printer that was deployed VIA GPO. Since the update to 1903 the printer will not install VIA GPO and when attempting to install the printer manually in the Devices and Printer APP (as in the new control panel app) it presents with a new dialog box then prompts for an Administrator credential when provided the credential the install still fails. Anyone else come across this issue?

  • You could still go to the following path to add your network printer

Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers

Or access to the address of your share printer and install it.

On the other hand, try to add the user into Administrators group, restart, manually add printer again.

    Regards
