Cannot deploy applications to Win 10 1903 Machines RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a recent issue - on our newly deployed Windows 10 1903 machines, we cannot deploy applications through software center. When we push the software and run the actions on the machines, the software doesn't show up. HOWEVER, if we reboot the machine, then open software center, the software appears, but if we wait too long, it then is stuck at 0% installing/downloading. Our 1803 version machines do not have this issue. I thought maybe it was a group policy issue, but I moved the machine and user on the machine into an OU with no policies... still happens. Has anyone seen this?

  • Hi,

For further troubleshooting, Which version of ConfigMgr are you using? Is the version of the client agent the same as the version of ConfigMgr?

How did you configure the approval settings? If you have "An administrator must approve a request for this application on the device" enabled, then:

When you require approval on a deployment to a device collection, the app isn't displayed in Software Center. If you require approval on a deployment to a user collection, the app is displayed in Software Center.

Please refer to the following article for more details:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/configmgr/apps/deploy-use/app-approval

    Best regards,
    Larry

  • Hi,

To manage Windows 10 1903, you need at least SCCM 1902 version, more details: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/configmgr/core/plan-design/configs/support-for-windows-10

Check also the following client logs located in "%WINDIR%\CCM\Logs":

    • ClientLocation.log
    • LocationServices.log
    • AppEnforce.log
    • CAS.log

How to upgrade to the latest SCCM version 1906: https://www.prajwaldesai.com/sccm-1906-step-by-step-upgrade-guide/
