  • hi 

    i want to install Windows ADK on windows 8.

    in instillation is two option 

    Download content from the internet .

    locate content on local computer or a network share.

    I can easily install from option 1.

    but i cant install from option 2.

    in fact how can i download Toolkit Documentation-x86_en-us.msi and put in share location .

    My primary problem is download Toolkit Documentation-x86_en-us.msi

    Because my internet speed very slow and i cant to download it , but using download manager i can download in times.

  • Yeah, looks like it has several dependent files.  I found a pastebin (http://pastebin.com/Yu8YDeJk) with the direct links for everything.  You could use that I guess, but it's probably not supported.  Best to use the tool to download it for you, even if slow, i possible.

  • You have to have done "Download the Assessment and Deployment Kit for installation on a separate computer" before you can install from local content.  Once you've done this option, copy the entire "Download Path" to the network share and run adksetup from within that folder and it will install from the local source instead of trying to download straight from the internet.

  • That is the direct link for the Toolkit Doco.  If you want the whole thing, it's best to use the download tool from Microsoft.

    OK , But when i want to install , this error occur .

    how do fix it ?

  • I got this error but resolved it by running the adksetup.exe as an Administrator.

    When Run As Administrator is selected, the server was then authorized to complete the downloads.

    Hope this helps.
