  • Question

  • Please suggest the least Time consuming method to install latest Servicing stack and cumulative update of Windows 10 and Office 365 ProPlus during SCCM OSD Task sequence. Goal is to build the machine with latest Windows and Office updates all the Time without adding long delay.

  • Hi,

We can use offline servicing to keep your WIM updated with the latest windows update. It actually is using the Windows Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) command-line tool to update the image. However, offline servicing will not apply Office patches. For more detailed steps, please refer to:
INJECT SOFTWARE UPDATES IN YOUR WIM USING SCCM OFFLINE SERVICING

If you are using Windows 10 and Office Pro Plus, we can service the image offline with a tool like OSDBuilder (OSDeploy.com), and then layer on everything else (including Office Pro Plus) after the image is deployed in the deployment task sequence.

    Thanks for your time.

    Best regards,
    Simon
