Trouble attaching doc in shared folder to email RRS feed

  • I am attempting to attach a file located in a shared folder, on my pc, to an email (Microsoft Exchange).
    When I try to open the shared folder to attach the doc it prompts for a Network User Name and Password.
    The shortcut to the shared folder is on my desktop and I can open it there.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Try to disable UAC for test. And check if any credential logged on Credential Manager on Windows 7.

  • This is not good idea to use shotcut on desktop, namely when roaming profiles are configured. Use "real" access to shared resources.
