Password expires but users not forced to change the password RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a standalone Win 7 Pro SP1 laptop that notifies the users their password has expired but does not force the users to change their password like XP would.  It looks like others have had the same problem.  Has anyone found a fix for this?

  • Hi,

To check if all policies are being applied correctly, I would say the first and best place to start would be to run a RSoP report on your computer.

    Open Command Prompt.

At the command prompt, redirect the output to a text file by typing:

    gpresult /z >gp.txt

At the command prompt, open the file by typing:

    notepad gp.txt
