Group Policy Update Issue RRS feed

  • Hi Experts,

    We are having five different offices in multiple cities and have total six DCs.

    The computers at the HQ are updating group policies from remote DCs not from local and on the other note their logon server is local DC not the remote.

    I have set all the sites with appropriate IP ranges in Sites and Services.

    I am not getting why PCs are updating GPs from remote location not from local server?

    Thank you for posting in our forum.

    Before going further, I would appreciate your help in clarifying the following situations:
    1.Which site is the primary domain of our domain in?

    2.Please follow the steps below to check which domain control policy our server is update from.

    The specific method is as follows:
    1.Open Group Policy Manager.
    2.Choose a policy, right click and select "Edit".
    3.Right click on the title of the policy and select "View">>"DC Options".
