Installation Windows 8.1 Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

On my Laptop I've already installed Windows 8 Pro. Today I wanted to install Windows 8.1, so I downloaded it from the Windows store. It installed and my laptop restarted. After I logged in on my computed I got this error:

    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/getfile/368335

    What says:

Can not run the update to Windows 8.1
The Update to Windows 8.1 can not be finished, the old version of Windows is set on your PC.
    0x8007002c - 0x2000D

Does somebody know what I can do to this error.

    Thanks a lot!

  • Hi,

To be added, for your problem, you can check  setupact.log and setuperr.log in c:\windows.~BT\Sources\Panther. If this folder not exit, please check setupact log in C:\Windows\Panther. You may find the reason for this problem.

While it would be better to back up your personal file and make system refresh before Windows 8 upgrade.

  • This issue can be caused due to the following reasons while you're trying to install or upgrade to Windows 8.1:
    • Anti-virus software conflicts.
    • Hardware conflicts.

If you are facing the Error code 0x8007002C - 0x2000D issue and the error message after the restore. To fix this issue, you can try this method: http://tipsandtricksforum.com/Thread-Solved-Error-code-0x8007002C-0x2000D-Windows-8-1-update
