Bitlocker Encryption Issue RRS feed

  • Check the settings:


    1. Press Windows key + R, then type in gpedit.msc and press Enter.

    2. Navigate to the directory below:

    Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\BitLocker Drive Encryption\Operating System Drives

    3. Make sure that Enable use of BitLocker authentication requiring preboot keyboard input on slates is enabled.

  • Hi,

     

    In order to help you better, I would like to confirm if your PC has a TPM.

     

    If yes, press Win + R to open Run dialog and type tpm.msc, then hit Enter. Check State tab to see if there is any error message.

     

    If no, open Edit Group Policy and navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\BitLocker Drive Encryption\Operating System Drives. Then enable Require additional authentication at startup and check Allow BitLocker without a compatible TPM.
