Team foundation server, everyday usage for programmer RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

I`m new to TFS, previously I used only Git, so forgive me silly question.

I`m part of a big project in my new company, we have our program stored on server (it has 3 branches only) I have created local copy on my computer. Now I`m doing some bug fixes in code, and do CheckIn when I have changes in some files. But i want to do some experiments in code. Is it possible for me to make branch only for me (so no one from the comapany would not see it)? I also want to checkout on master branch to do bug fixing as well.

Maybe you can send me to some page where usage of TFS will be expleained from the point of view of developer?

  • p.powierza,

Sorry but you have posted to a forum that deals exclusively with questions/issues about customizing and programming for Microsoft Project, a project management application. I suggest you re-post to the following forum:

  • Hi - Yes you can create any number of branches you like. There are many tutorials available.

You can find all details here.
