My self service user group used to be able to edit the hardware settings, add drives, memory, reassign ownership etc with just the Deploy (from template only) permission for VMs that they had created using my templates. Now that I have upgraded to
2012 R2 thought they were no longer to edit the VMs they had deployed until I added the full Deploy permission to the self service user group I had created.
Why did this change and is there a way to go back to the lesser permission setting?
