Report / Query to find machines with a certian HOTFIX installed RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to deploy an Office 2010 Hotfix to our machines.  I want to create a report or a query to tell me what machines currently have the Hotfix installed.

  • Hi,

You can use the builtin report:

Report Name: Compliance 2 - Specific software update
Category: Software Updates - A. Compliance

  • This a hotfix that was not in put into WSUS - Any other thoughts?  It does show on some in control panel on some Win7 computers -- Program and Features - View Installed Updates.   How can I query this information from SCCM if the Hotfix was installed manually on some machines?

  • That did not show it either.  I did not think it would be this hard to look for a Office Hotfix

  • Can you see the HF on the local PC, in the add/remove programs?

  • It is not listed in Add Remove --- I have to click on "View Installed Updates" in the left pane.  Then I am able to see the hotfix

  • you can get this information from V_Add_remove_programs.

have you tried this .Just replace the KB number with your patch.

    select * from dbo.v_Add_Remove_Programs where ProdID0 like '%KB9750%'

No, because as mentioned earlier in this discussion, the OP is not using ConfigMgr SUM to deploy the HF...

Don [doesn't work for MSFT, and they're probably glad about that ;]

if CM doesn't have the SU then it will not be displayed in CM using the builtin report. How and where are you expecting it to be displayed?
