RCC functions in OCS 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  •

We are testing the OCS RCC Services with our IP-PBX System.
OC 2007 version to be used in our test is 2.0.6362.36.
Basic Call Service in OCS is work well with our IP-PBX.
But, we have some questions about RCC interoperability functions as bellow.

    1. Consultation Call

Consultative transfer should work as follows.
A is in a call with B. A calls user C to consult. Call with B goes on hold automatically.
But, when A is in a call with B, A cannot call to C.
Calling C displayed in a new window.
But, OC does not send any SIP packet to OCS server. (I check it with Ethereal)
So, IP-PBX does not receive Consultation Call Command.
Consequently, second call could not be set-up.
How can I send the Consultation Command to IP-PBX?

    2. Generate Digits (DTMF)

For testing the function of Generate Digits, DTMF Key pad is needed in the conversation state.
But there is no DTMF Key pad icon in the conversation state.
How can I send the Generate Digit Command to IP-PBX?

    3. Set Forwarding

When a user logged in with using RCC service, there is no Call Forwarding Icon in OC window.
How can I send the Set Forwarding Command to IP-PBX?

    4. Single Step Transfer

A is in a call with B. A calls user C to Single Step Transfer.
Then, A releases, C is ringing. I think B should display calling C.
    But, B display calling B.
    In MS specification,
Single Step Transfer call event scenario is described only for transferor.
There is no call event scenario for Transferred and TransferredTo Device.
Because OCS transfer call event scenario is different from ECMA TR-82(Scenarios for CSTA Phase III),
I cannot confirm our call event scenario for Single Step Transfer.

    5. SIP Session Timer configuration

    In MS specification,
Soft phone application send Re-Invite message each 30 minutes (default value).
Could I configure the default value to other value (5 ~ 10 minutes)?
And If it is possible, how could I change the value?
It is useful for checking a abnormal disconnection of SIP link between OCS and IP-PBX.

    6. Error Code

In case of returning a error response for request, OC Client does not display the error code.
    Is it a normal operation?
I wonder the error code defined MS Specification is only for system debugging.
This is all the same for the CSTA Requests.

    7. Failed Event

When client A calls client B in Busy, IP-PBX issues failed event with busy error code for client A.
Then Calling B window in client A disappeared.
I think Calling B window should not be disappeared, before it received connection cleared event.

    8. Divert Response Error

When client A diverts a call to client B in Busy, IP-PBX issues divert response with busy error code for client A.
Then Calling B window in client A changed to Forwarded to B and disappeared.
Because the pop up window disappeared, client A can not answer or clear connection for incoming call.

    9. Transferred Event

A is in a call with B. A calls user C to Single Step Transfer.
Then, IP-PBX issues transferred event with null state for Client A.
I think conversation window should be disappeared, but it still remains.
When IP-PBX issues connection cleared event, it disappeared.
    Is it a normal operation?

  • hi bsrim,

i was just wondering whether you had any resolution to the following.

    3. Set Forwarding

When a user logged in with using RCC service, there is no Call Forwarding Icon in OC window.
How can I send the Set Forwarding Command to IP-PBX?
