Hotmail account access

Earlier today, I discovered I was unable to access my hotmail account through my IPhone 4. I tried to fix it by deleting the account from my IPhone and then adding it back again. I had the same problem through the IPAD and deleted the account there too. It did not work. Ihave since tried accessing the account through my laptop and although I can log in, when I attempt to get into my email account I get the following msg;
Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Hotmail right now. It looks like there's a problem with Hotmail right now. We're working hard to fix it, but it may take a little while longer. If you'd like to find out more about this problem, Sorry for the inconvenience.
Can anyone help?
