2007 groove -- lost password and product key RRS feed

  • I have had Groove 2007 for 8 years now and my hard drive failed. Bought a new computer and recovered what I could off old disk, but when we loaded groove down its asking for product code and password.

    We have on other computers is still working but can not find product code or passwords on them either.

    Can you please help us.

  • Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to replace an Office 2007 product key at this point. I managed to find two old links in internal notes, but they both redirect to Office 2013/Office365 documents now.

    If you find the product key, you can remove the old Groove data, create a new Groove account and have other members of your workspaces invite that account. You will not be able to access your old Groove data without your Groove password. That password provides access to your personal and shared (workspace) keys that Groove uses to decrypt data on the disk, and encrypt it for sending.
