Operation Manager & Opalis

Question

Hi !
I'm trying to sent or get alerts with scom. I have registered and depolyed the integration pack : "Opalis Integration Pack for Microsoft SC Operations Manager 2007 5.53_5.5.3.0003"
And in Opalis Integration Server > Options > Microsoft Operations Manager 2007, when I add an user, I get "Failed to connect, Check your connection settings".
Do I need some "connectors" between SCOM & Opalis ?
Thanks

Your results confirm that both Opalis and the Operations Manager Integraiton Pack are not fully compatible with W2008. The Opalis release for W2008 compatibility is slated for later this year.
As far as the Active Directory Integration Pack, as long as the following requirements are met:
- Microsoft .NET 3.5 Framework
- Windows PowerShell 1.0
- Integration Pack for Microsoft Active Directory requires current Quest Powershell Commands (1.2) 32-bit to be installed on the Opalis Action Server. Quest PowerShell Commands for Active Directory can be obtained from Quest Software website at http://www.quest.com/powershell/activeroles-server.aspx . More information about Quest PowerShell Commands for Active Directory can be found from the Administrator’s guide at http://www.quest.com/QuestWebPowershellCmdletDwnldARS
NOTES:
- The only currently available version for the ActiveRoles Management Shell for Active Directory 32-bit application is 1.3, this has been tested and does work with the Integration Pack for Active Directory.
- You will likely have to install both this "ActiveRoles Management Shell for Active Directory 32-bit" AND "PowerShell 1.0" on your Action Server(s) AND Management Server(s)/Client(s)
- Be sure to completely configure your "MS Active Directory 2" connection(s) in the Options menu within Opalis before attempting to "Test Connection" and/or use the connection(s) in the configuration of the Active Directory Integration Pack objects.

Ensure that all the Prerequisite System Requirements are in place. The following is from the documentation for this Integration Pack:
System Requirements
The Opalis Integration Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 requires the following:
* This Integration Pack can only be installed, registered and deployed on computers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 because Microsoft .NET 3.0 Framework does not support computers running Microsoft Windows 2000.
* Microsoft .NET 3.0 Framework.
* The System Center Operations Manager Console must be installed on each computer where an Opalis Action Server or Opalis Client is installed, if the Action Server or Client interact with System Center Operations Manager.
* The Opalis Integration Library Management Pack is required by the Create Alert object. It is automatically installed in System Center Operations Manager by the Create Alert object the first time it is run. If you uninstall this Integration Pack, you must also remove the Opalis Integration Library Management Pack from System Center Operations Manager.- Proposed as answer by Charles Joy [MSFT]Microsoft employee, Moderator Tuesday, July 6, 2010 2:31 PM

Thanks
On W2008 R2 (64) + Operation Manager Console + .NET 3.5.1 Framework => don't work
On W2003 SP1 (32) + Operation Manager Console + .NET 3.0 SP2 Framework => works
I have a similar issue with Active Directory integration pack. All the requirements seams correct.
