Login behaivour VMM-Self-Service-Portal RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I am experiencing the following problem. I would greatly appreciate your help and hints.

    - w2k8R2 x64 Ent. SCVMM 2012
    - Win7 x64 Client

    Problem Description:
    Can't always log on to SCVMM 2012  Self-Service Portal. Works only with domain admins. Takes very long to login, although no load on the server at all. With none DA users it also takes forever and then there's an error.

    Error Message:
    When I login with regular user, who has self service user role:

    "Failed to log on with the provided credentials. Make sure your user name and domain are correct, then type your password again."

  • It looks like this is not a problem with Self Service Portal but with the whole VMM Login. Users can't login to VMM via VMM Console, unless they are Domain Administrator. The users which were tested did have the role for VMM Serlf Service User. But it's no help, even if we give the users the Admin role. The login dialog runs for a while and then it shows this error:
